US President Donald Trump said  that the attack that targeted Beirut this morning should not have happened, especially on such an important day, while we are steps away from reaching a peace agreement with Iran. Trump stressed that Israel has the right to defend itself in the face of threats, but the attack to which it was responding was very limited and of no significant importance, and did not result in any deaths, injuries, or casualties, and it should not disrupt this important operation. He added: We are very close to reaching an agreement that will bring peace to the region, including Lebanon, and all parties must de-escalate. He stressed that there should not be any other attacks by Israel anywhere inside Lebanon, and there should not be any other attacks from any other party, including Hezbollah, against Israel. This could be the beginning of a long, beautiful peace—don't squander this opportunity.
